As part of PA.CON II activities aimed at strengthening sustainable destination management, Development Association NERDA has successfully procured thematic birdwatching equipment in advance of the upcoming educational course on birdwatching.
The newly acquired equipment includes seven binoculars and two spotting scopes with tripods and heads, which will be used to support both educational and practical activities, ensuring improved observation conditions and high-quality nature-based tourism experiences. The equipment was procured ahead of the planned seven-day training titled “Birdwatching as a Tourism Factor in the Development of Local Communities”, scheduled to begin in February in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Training is designed to enhance the skills and capacities of key target groups, with a special focus on promoting birdwatching as a sustainable tourism product that supports local community development.

By combining targeted capacity-building activities with modern, professional equipment, PA.CON II continues to foster sustainable, experience-based tourism while contributing to the preservation and promotion of the region’s natural heritage. Stay tuned for more information on the upcoming training, project activities, and opportunities to get involved as we continue to promote birdwatching as a valuable tourism asset for local communities.
