As part of the CBC GAIN project, three partner organizations – the Regional Development Agency SIMORA from Croatia, ICT Cortex from Montenegro, and INTERA Technology Park from Bosnia and Herzegovina – are simultaneously hosting official Global Game Jam 2026 sites, with more than 200 participants expected to take part in this 48-hour creative challenge. The event will take place from January 30th to 2 February.

Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the world’s largest event dedicated to video game development, held simultaneously at hundreds of locations worldwide. During an intensive 48-hour period, participants work in multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative game prototypes based on a shared global theme, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and international knowledge exchange.

All three events are officially registered Global Game Jam sites and are open to students, professionals, and beginners interested in game development and creative digital industries.

The organization of Global Game Jam 2026 across all three partner locations represents an important step in strengthening cross-border cooperation in the field of creative and digital industries, while contributing to the development of local and regional game development ecosystems.

The CBC GAIN project is implemented with the aim of strengthening capacities, collaboration, and innovation in the video game development sector across the cross-border area of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro, with financial support from the European Union through the Interreg IPA Programme Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021–2027.
