The New European Bauhaus Prizes 2026 (NEB Prizes) and the Boost for Small Municipalities have been launched!
Themes of the 6th edition of the NEB Prizes are:
- Enhancing Circularity, Sustainability, and Innovation;
- Strengthening Local Democracy and Inclusion;
- Arts, Culture, and Heritage as Drivers of Change;
- Enablers for New European Bauhaus Transformation;
- Water Resilience.
For this year, projects compete in two areas:
- NEB Prizes 2026 (for completed projects)
- Projects match with at least one of the themes;
- Projects have high potential for transferability to other European contexts;
- Projects have high potential to inspire and transform the entire building industry.
- NEB Boost for Small Municipalities (targeted for local authorities under 20.000 inhabitants or rural areas).
- Focus on the built environment – such as the construction, renovation, and adaptation of buildings and public spaces – through the lenses of circularity, carbon neutrality, cultural heritage preservation, affordable housing solutions, and regeneration of rural or urban spaces;
- Projects have achieved a sufficient level of maturity;
- Projects demonstrate an emerging participatory approach:
Winners and finalists will receive:
- Monetary awards ranging from 5.000 to 30.000 euro;
- Tailored help with communication and promotion of their project;
- For the NEB Prizes finalists, direct 1:1 expert support, to accelerate the scale up of their project across Europe.
