As part of the APOLLO project, a round table will be held on 17 April 2026 in Podgorica, bringing together experts in the fields of energy, energy efficiency, sustainable development, and related sectors.

The discussion will address key aspects of the energy transition in the region – from aligning national legislation with EU directives and developing regulatory frameworks for energy communities, to practical challenges in implementing renewable energy projects on the ground. Special focus will be placed on real-life experiences with photovoltaic systems in public buildings, including technical, financial, and operational considerations, as well as gaps between projected and actual energy production.

Participants will also explore the role of local authorities and public institutions in delivering energy projects, the importance of reliable energy consumption data, and ways to actively engage citizens and the private sector in energy communities. In addition, the discussion will cover long-term sustainability of investments, financing models beyond EU funding, and opportunities for scaling up successful solutions.

The event will provide insights from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro, highlighting regulatory challenges, technological innovations, and opportunities for strengthening interregional cooperation.

Participation is also available online – all interested participants can join via the link:
