Between 8 and 10 June 2026, six educational workshops titled “Secrets of Good Things – Basics of Circular Economy for the Youngest” were successfully delivered in the Municipality of Zeta and the City of Podgorica, Montenegro, as part of the RECIRCLE project.
The workshops were organised by the Development Agency of Zadar County ZADRA NOVA, in cooperation with project partners Municipality of Zeta and Čistoća Podgorica.

Activities were hosted by the following educational institutions:
- Kindergarten Ljubica Popović – Pčelica Branch
- Primary School Niko Maraš
- Primary School Milorad Musa Burzan
- Primary School Oktoih
- Kindergarten Zvjezdani vrt
- Primary School Milan Vukotić
Through interactive learning, creative tasks, and age-appropriate activities, children explored key concepts of the circular economy, including waste separation, recycling, reuse, and responsible environmental behaviour. The workshops encouraged active participation and learning through experience, helping young participants understand how everyday actions can contribute to protecting the environment and preserving natural resources.
The activities carried out in Montenegro marked the successful completion of the RECIRCLE educational workshop series. A total of 16 workshops were delivered across the City of Bihać, Central Bosnia Canton, Municipality of Zeta, City of Podgorica and City of Zadar, reaching 500 preschool and primary school children in 16 educational institutions.

We are especially proud of this initiative, which highlighted the importance of environmental education from an early age. It was a privilege to meet so many curious and enthusiastic children, as well as their dedicated teachers and educators, whose support and engagement contributed greatly to the success of the workshops.
By encouraging the youngest generations to adopt sustainable habits and understand the value of resources, RECIRCLE is helping lay the foundations for more environmentally responsible communities across the programme area.
Every child inspired today is a step towards a more sustainable tomorrow!
