Implemented through cross-border cooperation between partners from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Sport Facilities Green Energy – SINERGY project contributes to improving the energy performance of public sports facilities while promoting sustainable development and better services for local communities.

As part of the project, reconstruction and energy efficiency upgrade works at the Mejdan Sports, Cultural and Business Centre in Tuzla have been successfully completed, marking an important step towards the modernization of the city’s sports infrastructure and creating better conditions for training and competitions.

The completed works included the replacement of the outdated and energy-inefficient glass façade with a new 858.05 m² energy-efficient glass façade, the modernization of LED lighting and LED displays, the installation of a smart solar bench and an information totem, as well as the implementation of promotional and educational activities involving citizens, young people and the local sports community.

By improving the energy efficiency of the facility, the project contributes to reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs while enhancing the overall quality and sustainability of the sports centre. The total value of the project is approximately BAM 1.3 million.

The completion of the works also represents an important milestone in the further development of the Mejdan Sports, Cultural and Business Centre. The upgraded facility now provides a more modern and energy-efficient environment, offering improved conditions for athletes, sports clubs and all other users for training, competitions and sporting events.
