On July 16 2026, the Kick-off Conference of our AgroSolarNet project (HR-BA-ME00796) was successfully held at the premises of Agro Technological Centre Ltd. in Cerna, Croatia, officially marking the start of project implementation.
The conference brought together representatives of all project partners, regional and local authorities, educational and research institutions, as well as stakeholders interested in sustainable agriculture and renewable energy.
During the event, the Lead Partner presented the project’s objectives, planned activities and expected results, while project partners introduced their institutions and outlined their roles in the implementation of AgroSolarNet.
The project aims to establish a cross-border network of three agrivoltaic pilot fields in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. The pilot sites will combine agricultural production with renewable energy generation while testing irrigation systems and digital monitoring solutions to assess the impact of agrivoltaic systems on crop production, microclimate and resource efficiency.
The conference also provided an opportunity to discuss the first implementation activities, coordination among project partners and the preparation of the pilot sites.
AgroSolarNet will be implemented from June 2026 to June 2028 with a total project budget of EUR 1,152,426.00, of which EUR 979,562.10 is co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A IPA Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro Programme.
