The Vukovar-Srijem County Development Agency hosted a meeting of partners within the HEARTS – Healthcare Equity and Access for Resilient Targeted Support project, implemented under our Programme.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the five project partners from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro to review the results achieved, exchange experiences and coordinate the remaining project activities.
HEARTS aims to improve access to and the quality of healthcare and social services for children and young people with developmental disabilities and their families. Through cross-border cooperation, healthcare and social care institutions are strengthening their capacities and improving service provision, while development agencies support project implementation, knowledge exchange and cooperation among relevant stakeholders.
As project approaches its conclusion, particular attention is being given to ensuring the sustainability of its results. The knowledge gained, services developed and partnerships established are expected to continue benefiting children, young people, their families and professionals beyond the project’s lifetime.
HEARTS project demonstrates how cross-border cooperation can turn shared efforts into meaningful improvements in the lives of those who need support most, highlighting the importance of continued collaboration in building more accessible, inclusive and resilient healthcare and social services.
