As part of the RECIRCLE project, a workshop focusing on resource efficiency was held in the City of Bihać on 28 April 2026, gathering representatives of public institutions to further develop sustainable resource management practices. 

The workshop was facilitated by Professor Dr Nedžada Tolja, who guided participants through key aspects of circular economy thinking and its relevance for institutional and organisational contexts.

Through practical examples and discussion, participants explored how circular principles can be integrated into daily operations, with particular attention given to optimising resource use and improving existing practices in line with sustainability goals.

The session provided a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and strengthening the capacity of institutions to implement more efficient and responsible approaches to resource management.

Travnik

Within the RECIRCLE project, a workshop dedicated to resource efficiency was held at the Youth Education Centre in Travnik on 23 April 2026. The event brought together representatives of public institutions and interested stakeholders with the aim of strengthening knowledge and practices in sustainable resource management.

The workshop was organised by the Office for European Integration, Public Relations and Quality of Central Bosnia Canton within the RECIRCLE project framework. It was delivered by Professor Dr Nedžada Tolja.

During the workshop, participants were introduced to the fundamental principles of the circular economy, as well as practical ways of applying them in the daily work of institutions and in everyday life. A particular focus was placed on rational resource use and improving practices that contribute to sustainable development.

Such workshops represent an important step towards raising awareness of responsible resource management, while also strengthening institutional and community capacities for the implementation of sustainable solutions in practice.

Vitez

As part of the RECIRCLE project, educational workshops titled “Secrets of Good Things – Basics of Circular Economy for the Youngest” were successfully delivered on 21 and 22 April 2026, coinciding with Earth Day celebrations. The workshops were held at Primary School “fra Marijan Šunjić” Stojkovići and Primary School “Vitez” – Satellite School “Kruščica”.

The workshops brought together primary school pupils from several classes, introducing them to the fundamental principles of the circular economy through an interactive and age-appropriate approach. Key topics included waste separation, recycling, and reuse, with a strong emphasis on developing awareness of responsible environmental behaviour.

A series of educational games, creative tasks and guided activities enabled pupils to learn through experience and active participation, making it easier to understand and apply new knowledge in their everyday lives.

The workshops further supported pupils in understanding the impact of their actions on the environment, while encouraging values such as cooperation, responsibility, and the development of sustainable habits from an early age.

Marking Earth Day through these activities highlighted the importance of education as a key driver in fostering a more sustainable future. 🌱
