As part of the RECIRCLE project, two educational workshops titled “Secrets of Good Things – Basics of the Circular Economy for the Youngest” were successfully conducted on 18 and 19 March 2026 in the city of Zadar.

The first workshop was held at Primary School „Zadarski otoci“, where two fourth-grade classes participated in an interactive session designed to introduce the fundamentals of circular economy. The following day, a workshop was organised with a group of children from the Kindergarten „Radost“, Branch Višnjik III at the Sports and Recreation Centre Višnjik.

Both workshops engaged children through a combination of games, creative exercises, and guided discussions, focusing on key topics such as waste separation, recycling, and reuse. The activities were tailored to the age of the participants and aimed to make learning about environmental protection both accessible and enjoyable.

By taking part in hands-on and interactive learning, the children gained a better understanding of how their everyday behaviours can influence the environment and contribute to more responsible resource use. The workshops also encouraged curiosity, cooperation, and the development of sustainable habits from an early age.

The initiative is part of RECIRCLE’s broader efforts to promote circular economy principles and environmental awareness among younger generations, while supporting local communities in adopting more sustainable practices.

The RECIRCLE project is implemented within the Interreg IPA Programme Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021–2027 and aims to strengthen capacities in waste management, encourage sustainable development, and foster cooperation across participating regions.

Follow the project for more updates on upcoming educational activities and initiatives promoting sustainability and circular economy principles.
